EMILY COMPARAN, RDAEF II

Registered Dental Assistant EF II

1996 – Modesto Junior College / Dental Assisting

Serving our patients since 1997

Emily is no stranger to the dental field. While raising her two active children, Emily found time to go back to school and upgrade her dental license to achieve a goal that has only been accomplished by a select few.  She is one of fewer than 100 assistants in Northern California that has accomplished this impressive feat.  We feel so very lucky to have her in our practice.  Emily performs duties such as taking permanent crown and bridge impressions, cementing crowns, as well as placing fillings.  Emily is more than qualified for this position and we are delighted to introduce her in her new role on our dental team. Emily and her husband welcomed a baby boy in February 2015.

DANNELLE LAHMAN, RDA

Registered Dental Assistant

1990 Modesto Junior College

Associates Art Degree in Dental Assisting

Serving our patients since 2003

Dannelle was fearful of the dentist as a child.  She was motivated to become part of the dental profession because “the dental assistant was very kind and so nice, even though I was young and afraid, she made me feel at ease.  She inspired me to want to help other people like she helped me.”  When you are in Dannelle’s kind hands, we know you will feel the love and support she was given by her childhood dental assistant, and that she extends to every member of our team.  Personally Dannelle is married and the proud mother of two young men.  Staying active as a family,  spending time with friends and being part of Dr. Kaci’s team keeps Dannelle feeling balanced.

As a little girl JoAnne wanted to be a ‘truck driver.’   We are very grateful her path lead her to pursue

an education as a dental assistant.   The highways loss is our GAIN!  Joanne’s vibrant personality, combined with her commitment to prevention come to life each time she helps our patients make treatment arrangements.   Whether a patient wants to take a conservative, restorative approach, or wants to redesign their smile…JoAnne is there to personally support and guide patients to accomplish their treatment goals before conditions advance ‘and cost more to treat.’

Personally, JoAnne is married and they have an amazing dog who is a pampered family member.  In her ‘spare time’ JoAnne enjoys spending quality time with friends and family.

CINDY McCANS, ADMIN.

Administrative / Hygiene-Preventive Care Coordinator

1977 - San Jose City College / Dental Assisting

Serving our patients since 1999

Cindy was inspired by a friend who loved her work in dentistry to study dental assisting at San Jose City College.  Thirty years later she remains dedicated to using her skills to support patients in receiving timely care “because the best approach to dental health is always prevention.”  Without question our patient’s dental health is greatly enhanced because of  Cindy’s incredible work ethic.  She personally follows up with every patient who is not able to schedule treatment at their recommended preventive return date.  She genuinely cares…and it shows!

Personally, Cindy is married with one son and ‘a few pets.’  They enjoy spending quality time together traveling, going to movies and discussing current events.

They enjoy camping, their pets (dog, cats, bird) and hiking.  In her quiet time she reads and enjoys her animals.

NICOLE EDEAL, RDH

 Registered Dental Hygienist

1999 – Fresno City College / Modesto Junior College

Member in good standing of the American Dental Hygiene Association

Serving our patients since 2006

Nicole chose dental hygiene at an early age because she thought it would be a good fit for her…and she has never looked back. Nicole finds it very satisfying to help patients with periodontal problems grow in their knowledge and awareness that they can, over time regain and maintain good dental health.   She believes strongly ‘prevention is the best medicine.’   Nicole is a wealth of knowledge and our patients benefit greatly from her encouragement and experience.

Personally Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.  Nicole enjoys landscaping, picking up a hammer and working on construction projects around the house!  In her quiet time she enjoys sewing and crafts.

DIANE PERSIKE, RDH / Registered Dental Hygienist

1969 – Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene
1969-American Dental Hygiene Association / Member in Good Standing
Serving our patients since 1986

Diane chose to study dental hygiene versus nursing because she felt there was more opportunity to treat patients one on one.  She was attracted to helping people maintain preventive health and share their experience of better dental health.  We know how much our patients benefit from Diane’s personal interest and we are grateful she chose dentistry … and so are our patients!  She and her husband share their home with two cats, three dogs and Koi fish.  Her interests are genealogy, photography and stained glass.  To relax Diane spends quiet time gardening and reading.

SHERRY KNAPP,  RDH

Registered Dental Hygienist

Sherry was motivated to study dental hygiene so she could help people achieve and maintain good oral health.  Her kind and genuine spirit are complimented by her focus to create a comfortable experience for every patient.  Sherry combines her knowledge and 100% belief in prevention to encourage patients to take care of unhealthy conditions before they have symptoms and treatment is more predictable. What balances Sherry’s life is her family and her faith in the Lord Jesus.

AMBER GRAY,  RDH

2004-2005 – Modesto Junior College / Associate Arts Degree / Dental Assisting

2005-2007 – Cabrillo College Associate Arts Degree / Dental Hygiene

Associates Degree in  Dental Hygiene

Member in Good Standing:

American Dental Hygienists Association

Serving our patients since 2008

Amber’s inspiration to join the dental profession came from her mother who has enjoyed being a dental  assistant for many years.   “With my mother as my role model, I pursued a career in dental hygiene because I felt it would be rewarding and interesting.  Throughout my studies, and now with being actively one-on-one with patients, being part of a great dental team is definitely all I believed it would be.” It is also rewarding to be able to educate people about prevention.  Amber learned from her mother that prevention minimizes necessary treatment and always saves people money in the end.

Personally, Amber is an avid ‘outdoor-woman!’.  When Amber is not helping patients she enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and going to the lake.  Being out with nature fills her spirit and she loves spending time with her husband, her young daughter, family and friends.
