Dr. Rigel Smart was born in Turlock and raised in the Modesto area. Growing up with two local teachers as his parents, early in life he was inspired to help educate and elevate his community.
After graduating from Central Valley High School in Ceres, Dr. Smart studied at UC Santa Cruz, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with highest honors in his major of
Literature. He then attended University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, an esteemed program where he learned modern dental techniques and patient-centered, comfort-focused care. Now, Dr. Smart is happy to be back in the Central Valley, where he treats patients of all walks of life with warmth and compassion.
Dr. Smart practices conservative dentistry - an approach which prioritizes early prevention of disease while minimizing invasive treatment. Dr. Smart strives to make every dental visit comfortable and informative, supporting and empowering his patients to take control of their own oral and overall health.
When not at the office, Dr. Smart’s favorite hobby is playing the drums - a musical journey which he started by taking lessons here in Turlock. Apart from music, Dr. Smart has a passion for the outdoors, and finds joy in surrounding himself with many pets and plants.
